Can you remove engraving from stainless steel?
I must be a server and a cake knife engraved with the name and date on the blade of the knife. It is made of steel. Then the engraving be removed?

Only by sanding or grinding it out. It is “in” the metal.
yes you can but it takes a lot of sanding with fine grit sanding paper, then when you have all the engraving removed you will need to speed polish it on a buffer, most polishing shops will do ti for a small fee but unless you really want to keep this it is a bit of work.
yes, by mechanical or chemical methods. it depends on the surface of the steel and how much steel you need to remove and the tools that you’ve.
